333 is the number of whales proposed to be killed this summer in Antarctic waters. The Australian Government must act and send a ship to oppose the slaughter.

In just over a month more than 7,000 people have emailed Environment  Minister, Greg Hunt, calling on the Australian Government to send a ship to oppose the slaughter of whales in Antarctica. 

“The Japanese Government's whaling fleet is at this moment hunting in  Antarctic waters. Their target is 333 whales. The planned slaughter goes against both international and Australian law, yet the Australian  Government sits idle despite previously promising to send a ship to intervene,” said Sea Shepherd Australia's Managing Director, Jeff Hansen. 

“More than 7,000 people have directly emailed Australian Environment Minister Greg Hunt calling for action on whaling, with no reply. These  people represent a small part of the 76% of Australians polled who want  their Government to have a ship in the Southern Ocean opposing whaling. 

As the harpoons are fired into the bodies of these intelligent and  majestic creatures, the Australian Government does nothing. Whaling is  something that belongs in the past. Australia must continue to take the  lead on this issue, to take a stand against this atrocity and send a  ship now,” concluded Mr Hansen.
