This NAIDOC week, hear from brothers Russ and Grant Molony who share their deep love for the ocean and the artwork they create together.

Why do you think it's important to protect the ocean?
It’s important to protect the ocean because it’s one of many treasures of the earth, nature deserves to be nurtured and it’s up to us to make sure we do what we can to protect all the elements.
What does the ocean and marine life mean to you personally?
Personally the ocean is where I spend most of my time, it’s my happy place and so giving back to the ocean is everything.
What do you want the world to look like in the future?
It would be ideal if everyone could take a step back and realise how simple we are meant to live, how little we need and how looking after the land, sea and each other should be a priority.
Do you have any advice for how people can help make this happen?
This can only happen by taking less and giving more. Start yourself and then inspire others to do the same.
What is NAIDOC week and why is it important to celebrate it?
NAIDOC - National Aborigines and Islanders day, NAIDOC week is about learning and celebrating our culture and history. It opens the opportunity and encourages schools and the public to see and engage in our amazing culture and events that they showcase over the week.

Why do you think it's important to protect the ocean?
We are not separate without the ocean, we simply don't exist.
What does the ocean and marine life mean to you personally?
The ocean is my first love. My family shares an intense connection to the water. It's our teacher and playground.
What do you want the world to look like in the future?
The best of the past with the technology of the future.
Do you have any advice for how people can help make this happen?
Learn from First Nations Cultures around the world. Treat your community as family and the natural environment as mother herself.
What is NAIDOC week and why is it important to celebrate it?
Blak Christmas, a celebration of culture and another opportunity to start important conversations, learn and grow.
NAIDOC Week is a national celebration to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
