Sea Shepherd ship joins whale exhibition at Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney

Sea Shepherd is proud to work with ANMM on the Whale Season exhibitionThe Sam Simon is docked at the Australian National Maritime Museum where it will open to visitors throughout the school holidays, entry to the ship is free with the purchase of Museum ticket.
Visitors can climb onboard with the Sea Shepherd crew and volunteers hosting tours throughout the day from 10 am to 4pm up until May 31st.
The 56-metre ship returned from campaigning in Antarctic just last month, and is one of Sea Shepherd three ocean conservation vessels that participated in the 10th Southern Ocean whale defence campaign, Operation Relentless.
Image as part of exhibition featuring Humpback Whale Mother and Calf by Bryant AustinThe Sam Simon will be part of the museum’s Whale Season which was launched on 10th April, in association with the museum’s new exhibitions Amazing Whales – Evolution & Survival and Beautiful Whale – life-size photography by Bryant Austin.
The Whale Season will run throughout Autumn and Winter and also includes a full range of whale inspired public programs and school holiday activities, a display of quirky whale artefacts from the museum’s collection, and an aquatic inspired roof projection during the Vivid Sydney festival in May.
The Sam Simon is featured as the latest visitor under the museum’s popular visiting vessel program.
The Australian National Maritime Museum, in Darling Harbour, is open from 9.30am to 5pm daily.
