Photo: Tim WattersThe lead up to an Antarctic campaign always sees a lot of frenetic activity from the galley; stocking the ship for a several month-long voyage requires a lot of planning and preparation with every last item of food requiring quantification.

We have once again been lucky enough to receive some remarkable donations from compassionate companies globally to help us ensure that the crew stays hale and hearty, even once the fresh food has dwindled to just shades of brown.

Joanna, our third cook, has been busy organizing the dry store, ensuring we have the space to stow all the provisions necessary as well as assisting Chloe, our second cook, prepare nutritive food in the countdown to our departure date.

But we still need your help to ensure that it will be with very well-stocked stores that the Steve Irwin will set sail, ready for the hot pursuit of any poachers encountered.

Below are food items that we need before we depart for campaign. If you are able to assist by donating any of these items, please email the wonderful volunteers at our Perth Chapter: perth@seashepherd.org.au.
