Jeff Hansen is the Managing Director of Sea Shepherd Australia and a Director of Sea Shepherd Global.

He was recently invited to give a TEDx talk as part of the Countdown series. Countdown is a global initiative to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis, turning ideas into action.

Hansen's talk centered on the idea that to tackle the climate emergency we'll need to work together, leaving our preconceptions of each other at the door.

Under Jeff's leadership, Sea Shepherd has co-operated with many organisations and governments in unlikely alliances to achieve common goals.

Sea Shepherd uses direct action to defend marine wildlife and protect ocean habitats. Our conservation actions aim to safeguard the biodiversity of our delicately-balanced marine ecosystems.
